A new build industrial estate comprising three units and 225,000ft2 of floor area. The works comprised construction of all three units with warehouse and office space, associated external works were also provided including heavy duty access roads, concrete service yards, car parking areas and landscaping. The existing levels on site required extensive earthworks together with the addition of retaining walls to support the adjacent motorway embankment. S278 highways works were also carried out to connect the buildings to the public highway.
The works also required construction of a new public park to provide amenity space for the local community. In order to protect the neighbours from potential noise disturbance a 12m high acoustic barrier was also constructed. Extensive fit-out works were also carried out for John Lewis who took occupation of the unit prior to practical completion.
